Events and Workshops

The society offers a range of opportunities to get involved and learn with the community. Events fulfill a wide range of purposes such as: providing educational opportunities, facilitating community meet ups, or simply just exploring different aspects of tea an tea culture.

Monthly Tea Circle

The Tea circle is a free or by donation monthly, limited seating event. Each event seeks to highlight a different and unique aspect of tea and is hosted by a rotating series of society members.

Workshops

Workshops are specialized events offering in depth and hands on experiences with tea and tea culture. Workshops are intended to intro help those interested in tea take the next steps in their learning journey. As workshops require more resources to run, tickets must be purchased to attend the event.

Festival

Each year, the society organizes on of Canada’s longest running tea festivals, The festival runs in early October each year and is held in Victoria, British Columbia.

Victoria Tea Festival - October 4th

The Victoria Tea Festival Revival returns for a grassroots farm-to-cup experience and community learning, presented by the International Tea Appreciation Society (ITAS). On Saturday, October 4th, from 11 AM-5 PM, tea enthusiasts will come together to drink teas from around the world presented by experts in their fields. Festival activities include a tea fair with tastings, tea symposium, live music, food, ceramics gallery, documentary screenings, and the World Tea Championship. ​
